Training - Crate Training

Although German Shepherd Subliminal Messaging is your priority when training your German Shepherd, if you discover that you are having extra difficulties with your German Shepherd puppy, here is another method that you can utilize in conjunction with Subliminal German Shepherd Messaging.

Crate Training is a safe and effective way to train your German Shepherd. Crate training involves the reward system of training, such as giving your German Shepherd a treat, or pat for doing something successfully.

For example, you would reward your German Shepherd when he goes potty outside, instead of inside, which he may tend to do when young and in the initial stages of being trained.

Crate Training involves combining the reward system with restricted movement inside the House. When your pet is inside, you place him in a small space, similar to what is done with small babies.  You should only keep your pet in this space while you are home. However, long confinement in this space, while at work or away, can lead to distress.  You should also place the pets bedding and food items in this space.

While crate training your German Shepherd, make certain that you take him outside regularly to go potty and always remember to reward him when this happens. Your German Shepherd will begin to associate being outside and going to the potty with a reward and positive a reaction.

The purpose of restricting your German Shepherd’s space, in the initial stages of training, is to take advantage of a dog’s instincts.  Dogs do not go potty in the same space they sleep (if they can avoid it). You will find out more about crate training, in the reference section, at the end of this book.
